Music Tells A Story
Having amassed over 500,000 streams from his previous releases and Inspired by the likes of
Bruno Mars, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and J Hus, Kanda uses his lyrical storytelling to speak about
several different socially dividing topics with the younger generation. From the age of 8, KANDA
has been continuously performing in school, starting with cover songs and then from the age of
14 he began writing and producing his own songs becoming very active on the music scene both
locally and nationally. Now aged 19, he is ready to accelerate his musical journey. Follow the journey!

Performed at the O2 Arena in the final of the Open Mic UK 2020 Competition
BBC Asian Network Artist of the Week (2020)
Gained a feature on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 show, where Tom described KANDA’s song (Never the same), as “The most emotionally powerful song I have heard signifying the BLM movement” (2020)
Collaborated with worldwide sensation Panjabi MC on their single ‘Latino Heat’ gaining over 200,000 streams on all platforms
Several plays and playlisting from BBC Asian Network, BBC Introducing Midlands, Amazing Radio & Amazing Radio USA
Chosen to perform exclusively at the 2021 MOBO Awards press launch (2021)
IHGYN (I Have Got You Now) released early this year with Suicide Prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) gaining over 50,000 Spotify streams and Track of The Week (22.4.22) from BBC 1Xtra (played on all shows including Sian Anderson, Cuppy and Lady Leshurrs who also interviewed Kanda live on air.
